A new co-operative store has been opened in Trowbridge Castlemead. Radstock Co-operative has extended its trading area from Somerset into Wiltshire with a purpose-built community store in Hilperton village, near Trowbridge.

The society says the new store, the 16th in its retail estate, is in a prime location – a corner plot at the edge of the new Castle Mead residential development, adjacent to the main road into Trowbridge.

Ian Hobbs Technical Services have contributed to the store’s high specification with energy-efficient chillers, freezers and air conditioning units, as shown in our pictures above.

Radstock chief executive Don Morris said: “I am delighted that we have secured this particular site. It means that for the first time we have extended our geographical trading area from Somerset into another county.
